Favorite Trashy New Orleans Bar! Best Bloody's and Morning Wake-Up Calls!. New Orleans has many wonderful trashy/dive bars, but we found Roundup, near our hotel, and it became a morning ritual, on our last visit. It looks like a dump, has a great jukebox, and a bunch of patrons out of a Tennessee Williams novel. The short little bartender, Jay, probably was only around five feet tall, but had a strong hand to keep everyone in order. She makes one of the best Bloody Mary's we've ever had, with those wonderful Cajun/Creole spices. And it was only $5.00, and off and away from those Bourbon Street prices. But best of all, she would call our hotel every morning, and in her best Nawlin's accent, "Yalls Bloody Marrrie Is Watin". Perfect.
