good local poboy spot. this place is right in the CBD, and a lotta locals go here for lunch. similarly to mother's, its a cafeteria line and is sorta chaotic, but unlike mother's the prices are reasonable & the food is better. i got a roast beef for 5 & change, and its much larger and better than mother's watery version, tho the gravy is little on the weak side (its no Parasol's). only tip -- ya gotta make yourself heard when ordering and paying. otherwise youll be standing there all day.…

Mom & Pop atmosphere. The food is home-cooked, steam table served and as good as mom's home cooking. Portions are plentiful and you'll be hard pressed to eat it all.
