this place is right in the CBD, and a lotta locals go here for lunch. similarly to mother's, its a cafeteria line and is sorta chaotic, but unlike mother's the prices are reasonable & the food is better. i got a roast beef for 5 & change, and its much larger and better than mother's watery version, tho the gravy is little on the weak side (its no Parasol's). only tip -- ya gotta make yourself heard when ordering and paying. otherwise youll be standing there all day.
Pros: good poboys, cheap

I used to live in New Orleans and now, whenever I visit from California I head right to the P&G for a Fried Oyster Po-Boy! This is a great place for a VERY filling lunch at Great Prices! That's why the locals crowd in there at lunchtime!
Pros: Big Portions, Great Taste, Fast Service
