In Short
Founded in 1974 in an effort to save three blocks of wall vaults in the historic St. Louis II cemetery, the nonprofit is now dedicated to saving all Louisiana cemeteries through education, restoration and preservation. This membership-based organization holds lectures on everything from jazz funerals to voodoo rituals as well as tours and fund-raisers to aid its efforts. It also has routine events to help clean-up area cemeteries.
