Professionals. These guys are great. I perform most of my repair work on my F-350 4x4 (aka Black Beauty), but I had a rear and front differential installed into my truck by a buddy of mine. What a mistake. My friend and I , installed the differentials 3 different times, and never got them installed correctly. A different friend of mine recommended bring my truck over to AAMCO on Airline. He highly recommended these guys. The new differentials had to be replaced because of improper installation. Jon, at AAMCO, had the differentials installed within a day. The best thing was that it took one time to install the new gears. I should have went to AAMCO the first time. I learned my lesson. There are some things that needed to be performed by professionals. These guys are deffinitely professionals. I highly recommend these guys.

Brake Problems. I heard a noise and a bump when my car shifted in my 2004 Nissan Maxima. The first shop I went too said it was the transmission body (something like that) and I needed a new transmission. I felt a little uncomfortable about the explanation so I decided I wanted a second opinion. A friend recommended Paul at AAMCO near Airline Hwy. I took her recommendation and went to AAMCO. They explained that I needed brakes (the noise in the front end) and a front transmission mount. I dropped the car off this morning prepared for the shop to come back with more problems. I just left the shop and nope, the bill was as promised. My Nissan is back to her old self. I Highly recommend this shop.

Great People. I went into the Ford dealership wanting a transmission flush (my car was not having any problems. This was a maintence service my husband said I needed.) on my 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. The service manager said that my transmission was bad and I needed a new one. He said it would cost about $3200. He also said that I would be lucky to make it home so I should have the work performed immediately. I called my husband and he said to get a second opinion. I remember passing by the AAMCO on Airline and Hickory AVE a few times so I went there for a second opinion. Being a lady I expected that I would go into the AAMCO and have the same diagnosis explained to me by Ford. To my surprise that did not happen. Once my car was inspected, Don the manager stated that I had a leaking transmission. He said he could fix it for $125, which included a transmission service. The work was performed last Tuesday and my car still works great! I recommend this place.

Great People. I had problems with my 1988 Mustang 5 speed transmission getting it to go into gear. I went to the other national chain and they told me that I needed a rebuilt transmission with a $2500 price tag. I decided I wanted a second opinion so I brought it to AAMCO. It turned out that the transmission was fine but the master cylinder (part of the clutch) was leaking. Don, the manager, had my car repaired within 3 hours for $432. Reliable and fast service, what a combination tell them Phil sent you!!

Trustful. Just picked up my truck and it runs great. My 1993 GMC Suburban K2500 had stopped shifing. First gear only. My regular mechanic advised I take it to a transmission repair. I chose AAMCO on Hickory after reading the reviews left on city search.

I spoke with Don on the phone, the manager, and felt comfortable after talking with him to let them check it out, and then do the work. He advised it could be electrical problem, or, the tranny it's self. I was advised they would check the electrical first and call me. Don said it needed the electrical work and quoted me a price for the job Turns out it was was an electrical problem. The quote was spot on, and they were very fair on the over all price and did not pad the bill with labor. My car runs great. Shifting nicely, running nicely and I am happy to say that this is a very fair repair shop. Got my truck back in a few days. I would recommend to family & friends. Good Job Guys. Thank You!
