Avoid at all costs. Grace King has a reputation as the best public high school in Jefferson Parish, Unfortunately, having sent two children there I can testify that this is not the case. Discipline is non-existant. The school has had at least four football players arrested each season for the past two years. The punishment? A suspension for one game (this year a pre-season game). The principal decides which rules to enforce on a day to day basis so the children never know what to expect. There are no academic standards. Although the school district has grading policies, the teachers feel no need to follow them.

If you are in a situation that requires you to send your children to a public school. Stay away from Jefferson Parish, St Charles, St John or St Tammany are much better bets.
