We had out of town family to celebrate my birthday and my Dad's (90th) birthday party. Called Tuesday to make reservations for 20. Was told that reservations were not necessary unless it was a party of 30 or more but to come in at noon n will be seated with no problem. Got there and they gave us 2 tables of 10. Argued with an uncaring manager in a half full Dragos, to no avail.

We called Don's Seafood in Metairie on Veterans Blvd. and they told us they could accomodate a party of 20 in 30 minutes. The staff was incredible. Gave my Dad a fabulous gift bag, our own private room and personal waitress. The service was excellent, food was delicious - and three hours, over $800 (excluding tip), the Kuhn family is very content with our happy dual birthday celebration!

Their Specialty is Oysters, Don't Veer Far!. The charbroiled oysters are absolutely the best, kiss somebody in the face (twice)! (this thing won't let me say what I want to but normally if you say you want to injure someone because of how good something is, its a good thing) Everything else is "aight."

Worst food and service ever. I am a vegetarian and was visiting from out of town for work. I went there with a large group of people. Upon asking our waiter about what he can bring me since I'm a vegetarian - He said he could bring me a shrimp salad. I reiterated that I'm a vegetarian. He rolled his eyes and then said that he could bring me a caesar salad. I asked if he could check with the chef if they could make something for me. He came back and said they could make a pasta primavera with fresh veggies in an alfredo sauce. We waited for an extremely long time until our food came out. In the mean time, our waiter barely even made an appearance to check on us. When the food came, my "pasta primavera" was completely cold and wasn't even in an alfredo sauce. I told the waiter that if it could be warmed up somehow. He took it away. When it was brought back, it seemed they had replaced the cold veggies with warm ones and left the pasta as is. I gave up and just ate the veggies off of my plate. The waiter never checked to see if my food was acceptable nor did he check with anyone at our table. Once our checks came I saw that I was charged 18.95 for my cold pasta. Overall - this is the worst food and worst service that I have probably ever experienced anywhere. I truly cannot believe that I was charged that much for my food. Again - the worst food and worst service I have ever experienced.

Drago's at Hilton in New Orleans. Drago?s at the Hilton for lunch. I have to say the oysters are not quite up to par compared to the ones in Metairie. They were not smoked at all. They even didn't have that blackening look to them. They were barely cooked and floating in way too much butter. I would definitely not get them again at the Hilton. We had the Creole tomatoes topped with shrimp which was quite tasty. We also had their shrimp and corn bisque which is very good. Service was a bit off and the place was not busy at all.

Owners on top of every meal. Drago's has to be the best Seafood resturant in New Orleans. The owners see to that. They are on top of very meal to make sure every patron walks out of the completely satisfied.

You can't pass up the Charbroiled oysters. Even if you have never tried oysters you have to try these. don't let anybody discourage you from trying them. Once you have eaten one you will never go there without having a dozen or two.

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Home of the barbecued oysters, this Fat City haven is a must-try for fresh seafood dishes and other Louisiana favorites.

My Favorite Place to Celebrate. There's nothing even close to celebrating your birthday with great martinis, charbroiled oysters, and a giant 5lb lobster! Drago's is the closest thing to heaven on earth. The creme brulee is yummy too. My husband usually eats the seafood pasta in addition to splitting the giant loster, which is awesome too!

Best oysters ever. Everything is great at this restaurant, but the char broiled oysters are to die for. I don't live in Louisiana anymore, but schedule my trips into the New Orleans airport around getting oysters at Drago's. You'll need a good map to find it and parking is tight, but it's worth searching.

Great Date Place. I was taken to Drago's almost three years ago on a date. Ever since my boyfriend takes there atleast 1-4 times a month to relive our first date. They are one of the best places to take your date. The only why I eat oyster is at Drago's and the have to be char-grilled. I would rate this restaurant a 10.
