Awesome Seafood Stuffed Artichoke!

The food and service was excellent. We have traveled from Houston, TX to New Orleans, LA twice this year. Both times we have stopped at Carmine's for lunch and have NOT been dissapointed! The seafood stuffed artichoke is to die for and the soft shell crab was delicious. The restaurant has a nice friendly atmosphere, great casual dining, and excellent food. We will continue to eat at Carmine's each time we visit New Orleans.

Great softshell crab and incredible dessert

Carmines is casually elegant with lots of quirky touches to the decor, dark hardwoods, and italian murals. The softshell crab was very good, as was the trout. Great sauces. Strangely, the marinara on the angel hair pasta was very watery and lacked any distinction, but it was the only flaw of the meal. Their white chocolate bread pudding is heaven on earth. I've never had a better dessert in my life.

Worst food ever

I had a horrible experience. I do not advise eating at this restaurant. The food made me have stomache problems for several days. I found an insect in my pasta. The place still smelled like mildew. Nice people but a good restaurant does not just mean good people.
