Tips for Pearl's Place

Many options, good customer service!. So, when searching for a bridal salon I actually went on this website and saw the mixed reviews..I thought "hmm well THIS sucks! bad customer service is my #1 pet peeve". I knew off the bat Linda Lee wasn't an option because I had a previous bad experience there as a bridesmaid. David's Bridal? Not my style. Bustle & Bows..well where are the dresses?? So I ignored the bad reviews and walked into Pearl's Place on a Friday morning. I received EXCELLENT service, they were accommodating and not over packed. I didn't buy my dress that day and actually returned probably 10 more times after that initial visit (yes even on a busy Saturday afternoon) since I'm a bride and a bridesmaid in another wedding. Each visit they were equally nice, patient and heck even remembered me! I've since purchased my bridal gown and while I have not began alterations yet, I did meet with the lady who does them to verify that my gown would be ordered in the correct length. She was just as pleasant as all of the bridal consultants (that's right I said ALL - I've been helped by ALL of them on one occasion or another). Bottom line - good store, great selection in dresses, and good customer service for brides and bridesmaids!

Worst Experience Ever!. As a customer, I have never been so disregarded and have never received poorer service at a place of business before. I purchased a bridesmaids dress from Pearl's Place and was informed that the alterations would be included. I was instructed to come to Pearl's Place between opening and 2pm in order to be measured by a seamstress. I reside 86 miles from Pearl's Place and have a newborn baby. I asked the receptionist if there would be any problem when I showed up for alterations and she assured me if i came in, I would receive service. The first day I drove to Pearl's Place, I was told they would not be seeing any more customers for alterations that day and was asked to return the following day. I informed her that i lived 87 miles away and had just driven in town to have my dress altered. She promised that if i returned the following Saturday that a note would be placed on my dress for the workers to see and I would definitely be serviced. I returned the following Saturday at 1pm and was told the same thing. They were not going to see anyone else. I instructed her to refer to a note left on my dress. She went away for 5 minutes and returned saying that they were too busy to see me. The shortest wait time would be 4 hours and asked me to come back. I returned the following Saturday even earlier than before and was told THE SAME THING; they would not be able to see me. This time I had my 8 week old infant with me because i was sure that they would take into consideration that this was my third time traveling to the dress shop to take care of my dress. I informed her that this was my third time being turned away and she told me I could be seen that day. After waiting for 2 hours sitting on a window sill, I asked to speak to a manager. A lady, Elaine, came out as though she was bothered that a customer asked for her. I informed her of the situation and she rudely replied, "Well, I would not travel that far to come here for alterations if i were you, with a baby..." She said they do not take into consideration if you'd been turned away before, and when asked if she cared she replied, "No, because this is a free service, so..." She said they do not do appointment because people don't show up. Unless the seamstresses are working for free and the shop is using no revenue from their income to pay the seamstresses, then it is NOT a FREE service. The cost is included in the price of the dress. I had to continue to wait and waited a total of 4 hours WITH a newborn baby in the shop sitting on a window sill. I had to change diapers, feed a baby, comfort him and no workers ever thought to check on me or any of the other customers who were waiting. Their actions, especially Elaine's, were surely morally reprehensible and I feel as though this matter should be addressed. If they did not have a no refunds policy, I would get my money back and order my dress elsewhere because this company who is only concerned with profit and not the customer, does not deserve to profit. My observation is that this company advertises "alterations included" and attempts to make the process entirely inconvenient so that you will not utilize their services and they do not have to pay to alter your dress from the money you've paid for the dress. After my dress was paid in full, the company attempted to turn me away 3 times and on the final time when i agreed to wait a short time to be seen, i was waiting for 4 hours in extremely uncomfortable conditions and was totally disregarded.

Huge dress selection. Getting hitched and need a traditional dress? Pearl's Place should be your first bridal shop stop. The prices are great, the staff is friendly and attentive and they offer a huge selection of bridal gowns and bridesmaid's dresses.

Excellent Experience. I had an excellent experience with Pearl's Place. I ordered both my wedding gown and my seven BM dresses through Pearl's Place. My dress (Maggie Sottero "Cleo") took 3 months to arrive. My Watters & Watters BM dresses (#1253) took 1.5 months to arrive. All arrived in perfect condition with no problems. Pricing was significantly better than bridal shops. I saved 42% on my dress, and my BMs saved 38% on their dresses.

So pleased with Pearl's. I found the perfect dress by Allure Bridal at a bridal salon near my house. I called a few places to see if I could find a lower price, and Pearl's came highly recommended. I tried to bargain with the shop by my house, but they couldn't come close to Pearl's price, even if they sold me the sample. I ended up ordering from Pearls, and received my dress 4 months later - right on time! The dress quality was beautiful. I received many compliments on it, and I loved that it wasn't a popular dress. It was heavy, but you can't avoid that when it's beaded. I loved that it had a corset built in so I didn't need to wear a long line bra. I didn't need alterations, just a one button bustle that was done by a local seamstress. I saved around 40% by ordering from Pearls!

Same situation as my dress - we found this at a local bridal shop. SInce I was so pleased with the prices at Pearl's Place, i called and got a quote for the girl's dresses. Again, they were the lowest I could find, so I ordered from there. They came in a month early, too! The dresses were nicely made. The tissue taffeta material was beautiful!

Couldn't have been happier!. I found my dress at a local store but according to the bridal bargain book, could find it for cheaper since it was out of my budget. I asked for a quote and they sent me one from a store in New Orleans. I asked the place I tried it on at if they would match it and after a near sabotage and definite no, long story short, I went ahead and put my faith in a phone order for the place in New Orleans. I received it a month before expected, in perfect new condition and couldn't have been happier! It was over $200 less and still the same gown, same designer.

No Complaints!. The dresses came in 6 weeks, in the right sizes and colors, and they were so inexpensive. My BM’s saved about 33% on their dresses, which made them under $100 each. I definitely recommend using Pearl’s Place for your dresses.

The Beginning. I ordered my wedding dress at the beginning of July. It is August 13 and they called me yesterday saying my dress is ready. I am so excited. I also ordered the bridesmaid dresses as well as the mini bride dress from them. So far, so good. Kim is really helpful. Their card system for names could be better but it is what it is. I also got my dress for less than $1000 with a discount and free alterations !!!
