Prestige audio are the ultimate in car audio.
From the best brands, knowledgeable staff, great sound and immaculate installation, I could not be happier.
I have the JL audio Fathom F113 subwoofer in my home theatre system. I wanted that quality in my car system. Chris and Dustin took my preferences and suggested the ideal components to meet my musical tastes. I play acoustic bass and I am very particular about tonal balance, dynamics and pristine resolution of instruments. I wasn t looking for a loud kicker blowout system, but a refined system capable of playing every nuance of dynamic music.
The system evolved to a Pioneer head/nav JL audio 4 channel and seperate sub amps and sub and door component speakers. I added a high end Alpine rear view camera setup and Road Kill noise suppression in the doors and back panels.
The installation was absolutely first rate. We discussed the setup at great length and I left my car in their very capable hands. Chad, the installer, called me and found an even better area to mount the amps without having to modify any of the car s materials. The execution was flawless. Everything was precise and looked and worked perfectly. The subwoofer built for the back was a work of art. The fabric matched my interior exactly, the box was angle perfectly behind the seat, contoured to the side and the rear angled to project the music upwards. The amp and crossover layout was a work of art. Scott, the other key installer went over all the details, operations etc. they even tuned the system to cds I provided of my musical choices.
The sound? Beyond reproach! I couldn t be more happy. I have run the system through the gamut of music, from very demanding low end growl, to jazz trios, driving rock and classical. The system is so seamless in my car and performs everything with the most engaging flair.
If you are looking for a great audio system or even just a navigation or rearview camera, check out Prestige Audio. Knowledgeable staff, the best performing products and top flight installation. The whole crew at Prestige were very personable, insightful and focused on the system s sound. Everyone there went out of their way to make my experience and system the best it could be. They really care that you get the best.
The highest of recommendations
These ppl who but bad reviews out on Perstige Autosound, are just retarded. I put a full blown alarm system, led's, sound system etc in my car. I have been doing business for them for 11 years. The customer service has been excellent, and the work has been excellent. yes the price is higher then any other place i know in louisiana, but for custom work you will pay alittle more. if you want cheap work and bad quality then go somewhere eles.
Terrible! Do NOT take your car here – These Guys suck. Their prices are high and customer customer service is horrible. They lost parts to my amp and would do nothing about it. Then said it was my fault for giving them the parts.
Worst auto sound experience I have ever had. Spend your money somewhere else.
I couldn't ask for a better deal or friendlier service – My husband came home with a Brand New Camaro for me, but I HATED HOW THE CAR SOUNDED & LOOKED!
The crew at Prestige was great. I GOT A GREAT PRICE ON A NEW STERO, AND TINT! I cant say enough about the friendly staff was to me - they were great!
If it wouldn't have been for the Prestige Customs & Autosound crew, the Camaro would have went back to the dealership!!!!!
PHUCKIN LIARS!!! – Prestige customs WILL TRY TO CHEAT YO ASS IF U DONT KNOW NO BETTER... Watch yo back son, shop around and price it before u go there... Bought a tire came back a month later to buy the same kind of tire, ironicly the price jumped up 50 bucks in a month... idk maybe i looked a lil flashier this time around... im out son!
i have had lots work work done here with cory and the gang and its always been top self work!! ive been treated very well and everything works great!! i will always have my work done here!!
Do your homework! – Prestige did some work for me about ten years ago. I was satisfied with the workmanship and the price. This is why I sought their advice for new speakers and a receiver for my wife's vehicle.
While listening to the displays, I was not convinced that the suggested products were for me. The salesman assured me that the system would sound much better once it was in the enclosed space of my vehicle. I asked him about the frequency range of the speakers and the power put out by the receiver. He stressed that the speakers had all the range I would need. He told me that the receiver was 45 watts per speaker.
I still had some reservations. However, given my previous experience with Prestige, the personal attention I was receiving, and the professional appearance of the showroom/shop, I believed that they would not steer me wrong.
I left them to it and then returned after three hours of installation time in addition to a hefty investment ($1300). Their work looked like a twelve year old decided to pull the stereo from his mom’s car and place it in his dad’s car. I complained about its appearance. I was told that the pieces of Velcro hanging out of the sides of receiver was “industry standard.” After pressing the issue, I was told to return two days later to get it fixed.
During the following day, I had ample time to listen to the system. It sounded like cardboard speakers being pushed by a clock radio. I was disappointed to say the least.
I returned to Prestige the day after as instructed. They could not, or would not, fix the appearance issue. As for the sound, it was suggested that I spend another five hundred dollars or more on an amp and a sub. I was also told that the system sounded like fisher price because iPods don’t reproduce music well. (Note: There was no explanation why other music sources did not perform). In the mean time, my only option was to play with the eq settings.
Two days later, they fixed the appearance issue. They tried to make it sound like they had done some incredibly unusual favor for me while again citing “industry standards.”
In the end, my stereo sounds like garbage and I am out the money my wife wanted for a new laptop. I should have done my homework before trusting Prestige. I have since done some research which verifies that the receiver and speakers underperform equipment that would have cost much less money. Times are tough right now for many businesses. If you are lazy in shopping –as I am, you will be readily taken advantage of.
Ask to see the packaging of any product before making your purchase. If I would have done this, I would have seen that the receiver pushes out a meager 14 watts. Unfortunately, info on the speakers was not available on the packaging. I later found out that the Alpines, so heavily pushed by the salesman, have the worst low end frequency response of any product available.
Don’t fall victim to Prestige. Don’t be a fool.
