Food ok - if you don't care about cleanliness. Stopped at this place for a quick breakfast and found the food to be acceptable. The customer service was very friendly, but I couldn't get over the fact that the kitchen area wasn't very clean. The floors looked like they hadn't had a good cleaning since the store opened for business. The dishes and cooking pretty much takes place in the same small area. The cooking utensils looked very old and seemed they were ready for a change. Whenever the cooks needed to clean the cooking counters--they used the same old cloth--which sort of turned me off pretty quick. Don't think I'll be stopping there anytime soon. Friendly service gets max stars but everything else gets a 1-1.5.
From pecan waffles to legendary hash browns, breakfast fare rules at this homey 24-hour chain restaurant--but don't miss the chili..
In Short
Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.
