Great new Staff and food. Everything was great for us. I loved it all and so did my family. The new management seems to be very active in providing the best they can. Their performance, service and quality of food ranks very high in my book. Good prices for excellent food is what we all want, right? We got that at JT's.

Just O.K.. I went here for the first time the other night. It's a fairly new building. Once inside, the hostess (not exactly the friendliest one I've ever met) greeted us. She wasn't rude or anything, just not overly friendly. The place has very bad acoustics. It's very loud and you have to speak loudy when talking with others around your table. We sat in a booth table, and there were crumbs and empty cracker wrappings on the seat (clearly it was not wiped down). The hot sauce bottles had noticeably dried-up hot sauce dripping down the sides of the bottles. The ketchup bottle was just about empty. Two of the three appetizer plates were dirty. When asked, two more plates were brought to us, one of which was also dirty. Every time the waitress refilled my drink, she had to ask what I was drinking. I had the paneed chicken po-boy. I love paneed chicken! It was actually chicken strips which were paneed. They were VERY bland and dry. I had to add salt and pepper. The others at my table had seafood plates (which is their specialty). The portions are not that large. They do not serve bread unless you ask for it (and it costs $2.00). All of the deep fried food was not greasy at all, which was nice. The onion blossom and sauce was delicious. The french fries were just average. The server never picked up our trash as we were eating. Used paper napkins, sugar wrappers, squeezed lemons were all left on the table throughout the dinner.

Not all that impressed with Johnny Trauth's, I must say. It was definitely my first and last time there, unfortunately. Unless I crave a good onion blossom. I may get one to go or something. There are just too many other better places around the area. It's a shame, because the place has potential. They just need to focus on training their employees better and ensuring customer satisfaction. For a Friday night (during Lent), at 7:00pm, the place was not all that busy. There wasn't even a wait. Now I know why.
