In Short – Nestled near River Road, the restaurant's dining room is cut in half by a floating wall accented with art. Neutral-colored walls, wood floors and a bar with a mirrored backsplash complete the ambiance. Couples and friends crowd the white-clothed tables to sample New Orleans fare. The dinner-only menu features char-grilled oysters with Roquefort, duck and okra gumbo with homemade boudin, pan-seared rainbow trout and grilled beef tenderloin. The large bar also is available for dining.

Perfect evening

Cozy, romantic atmosphere with unpretentious, attentive staff. The sourdough rolls are served warm and were chewy and delicious. My date had the rabbit and I had the trout, both very good and each had its own unique flavor. We also tried the scallops for an appetizer, which were excellent. The portions are on the smaller or "just right" size so that you can enjoy a few courses. Prices are around $20 per entree with about 5-6 to choose from. While it is a limited menu, on a Monday night we noticed there was quite a crowd of regulars there. Definitely a great spot to go to for a good meal and cozy atmosphere.
- Pros: Romantic atmosphere, quiet
- Cons: Limited menu, tables are somewhat close together
Always Good

Small modern restaurant filled with a crowd of local uptowners. They have the best crab cakes I have ever had & the chef changes the creation on a regular basis -- they are more of a crab salad, not fried and no bread filler. Excellent scallops, everything is perfectly cooked. The food is some of the best in the city & is consistently good. I rank it in my top 10 & often recommend it to out-of-towners.
- Pros: Consistently great food
Great find

The atmosphere at ONE is unpretentious, yet trendy. The white linen-draped tables are sharply accented by crisp, black napkins and are arranged intimately through the restaurant, perfect for anything from a romantic date to a fun night out with a group of friends. You can also sit at the bar that faces the chef working precisely with his food. The service was unobtrusively and respectfully attentive. The menu offered a great selection of appetizers, soups, and salads, but was surprisingly limited for entrees. It featured only two beef dishes, a couple of seafood dishes, and a pasta. Nevertheless, the meal was delightful. The presentation was chic, yet abundant. The pasta abounded with fried calamari, and the beef tenderloin was cooked to lustrous impeccability. After finishing our dinner and preparing to venture into the rainy night, the owner of the restaurant (who had been monitoring and assisting the staff throughout the night) insisted on walking me to my car with an umbrella. I was very impressed by my overall experience at ONE and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out in Uptown.
- Pros: Ambience, Parking, Service, Food
- Cons: Limited menu selection
