The greatest place in the city. The Hookah is the biggest most poppin' nightclub in the Quarter. A chill environment for the grown and sexy to smoke some amazing Hookah, kick it with friends/family, and dance their asses off

New Orleans's Best Kept Secret Among Locals!. Hookah Cafe is perhaps one of New Orleans's best kept secrets among locals. Located on trendy Frenchmen Street, the cusine and ambience of Hookah's is a must, especially for visitors who want to get away from the often over-rated , over-priced, and sometimes disappointing venues of celebrity chefs throughout the French Quarter and Central Business District. Executive Chef David Duvall wowed our taste-buds with an original, cajun-inspired menu featuring some of the most mouth-watering cuts of tenderloin and fresh local fish imaginable. Combined with the variety of Sisha blends, local live music, and the best personalized service experienced in a New Orleans restaurant in a long time, it is easy for me to give the food, drinks, and overall ambiance a solid five stars. And be sure to order Chef Duvall's version of Fried Green Tomatoes. They are so good, you might even order seconds

Hello and thank you for the review. The Hookah staff says thank you to everyone who came out and made the Hookah Cafe on Frenchmen St. such a special place. However, as of 2009 we have moved to 309 Decatur St. in the French Quarter and have gone from being one of the most unique restaurant/lounges to now being one of the top nightclub destinations in the city. We no longer serve food ;( but we believe we excel at providing one of the best nightlife experiences around! Great Ambiance, Tasty Tapas, Smooth Hookahs. Hookah Cafe is one of my favorite spots to hang out. Their hookah menu is very extensive full of different flavors, brands, and combination mixes. It's a great place to go to have a few drinks, smoke, and snack on some tapas. The ambiance is very trendy, yet also very chill and relaxing. Drinks are a bit pricey, but that doesn't really detract me from thoroughly enjoying myself and having a great time. It's the kind of place where you can be comfortable going to either as a couple or with a bigger group since the seating layout includes a bunch of couches and coffee tables. It's almost like smoking a hookah at home except you have the waiter doing all the dirty work! My one suggestion is to avoid it during late night hours when it turns into a club and the DJ's speakers overpower the place (unless of course you're looking for more of a party ambiance - but i prefer a mellower environment when smoking the hookah).
