Awesome boutique helpful staff- a new orleans treat!.
This is the crazy shop on the corner of Louisiana and Magazine that always has the fun mannequins dressed outside blowing in the wind. I used to assume it was a resale boutique....but after my first
trip there I was very surprised to learn that it isn't at all. I've been getting my formals for the Endymion ball here for the past 5 years!
All of the clothing is new, and if you don't want the one on the rack you can order it and it only takes a few days to come in. This store has eveyrthing from jeans to ball gowns. Great ready to wear dresses and cocktail dresses, and they specialize in formalwear. All of the coktail dresses and formalwear can be ordered in different sizes and colors, and they also offer alterations at an extra charge if you need any tweeking.
The thing that really makes this store unique is all of the beautiful formal dresses for Mardi Gras balls and proms that will knock your socks off! One of the few places in the city to carry Jovani and Sherri Hill- my two favorite designers! I get so tired of seeing the same dresses every year at the ball about a hundred times. Thats because everyone shops at Dillards or saks...etc. They have stand out from the crowd dresses in ALL shapes and sizes. Sizes 00-32
Another stand out about this shop is the staff. The staff is always friendly, fun, and helpful. If you want help fidning the perfect dress, they will pull multiple styles for you and offer many suggestions. I can't tell you how many times I have been in that store and they have convinced me to try on dresses without hanger appeal....... and they always seem to be right! You never know until you try them on!
Sometimes you have to do a bit of digging through the racks..... or simply ask for help. But either way you will have a blast. Totally fun.
TIP: Ask for Amanda or Dawn. One of the two of them is usually always there and they KNOW their stuff. Maybe bring them a cocktail. LOL just kidding.…
Great Boutique with Superb Service From the Owner/Staff. Great store and quality staff/owner. I have shopped here a few times with my youngest daughter for her winter formal and prom gowns and a few other not so formal occasions, but recently I had the pleasure of shopping here for myself for a Mardi Gras ball I was attending. As last minute as I am, I stopped in the store on Thursday around 4:00pm and the ball was on Friday night. The store closes at 6:00pm and the location is very near a parade route. So near, I got caught in traffic as the floats were being moved through the streets! I walked in and was asked what I was looking for and was I partial to a particular color. Then the young lady (and I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, but I'll call her Punkie Brewster - because she had her hair in two pigtails) immediately found two dresses that she thought would fit my profile. She brought them into the dressing room and assisted me in getting into them. After I had narrowed my selection down to the two dresses I wanted, she found me shoes to try on and even put them on my feet and buckled the straps!!! I felt as though I was shopping on Rodeo Drive or in one of those exclusive shops in New York. The service was impeccable and I wouldn't trade them for the world. My only complaint (and I hate to use the word complaint - is the parking situation). If they had off the street parking this would be my exclusive shopping boutique and if they sold business suits, I would have no need to ever shop any place else, but as it stands this is the perfect place to find a formal gown, or even a little sundress for a nice summer day. I love this store and those ladies are a gem!!!!…

Prom Dresses Galore with Pleasant Service. As a mom of two teenage daughters in need of prom wear I was pleasantly surprised at the service I received from "Dawn" the owner of The Red Carpet. She measured my girls and recommended what was on top of this season's styles and colors for prom. Two dresses were purchased and shipped to my home in North Carolina without incident. It is difficult to find such gracious service in today's hustle and bustle world that we live in. An intimate boutique with all the charm of The Big Easy. I give The Red Carpet a 10++++!!!! best shopping experiance ever with lots to select from. this cute boutique as a great surprise.. the selection as plentiful and unique it was a great over all experince. the owner and her staff found me a perfect ball gown and had it altered in one day......and it fit perfect...i might add the red carpet carred everything from blue jeans to ball gowns......with all sizes. i really cant say enough about the over all experience ..... wonderful ........ helpful ........ fun. ..................…
