Tips for Richard's Disposal Inc

April 03, 2013

Alvin Richard is a corrupt politician from the Nagin era and we need to get him out. He's currently suing our beloved city for more money because Mayor Landrieu wants to cut the garbage budget and save us $8M dollars. Alvin Richard believes a better place for that money is in his pocket... I guess hanging out with strippers in the Hornets skybox and smoking cigars at Sweet Loraine's isn't enough for Alvin L Richard. He wants the taxpayers to pay for his yacht.

Landieu is doing the right thing in trying to block Richard's Disposal. The company run by Alvin Richard is a failure and we need to give their contract to a company that can actually pick up garbage on time, not 7 days late. A company who's name isn't synonymous with "corruption" and "bribery".

Richard's Disposal Inc is supposed to be in the business of sanitation, but when they don't pick up garbage for days and it overflows, then they are responsible for trash all over out streets. It appears that Richard's is in the business of bribery and scams. They were involved in the Stan Pampy Barre scandal in which Alvin Richard bribed a school board official to secure a contract to the tune of $525k.

We need to do way Richard's Disposal altogether. They are old corrupt contractors from the Nagin era and have no place in our city today. Mayor Landrieu is right in trying to cut the trash budget. We pay significantly more compared to cities comparable in size. Now Alvin wants to sue the city for even more money.

Avoid them if you can!. My landlord told me to call a week before I moved into my new apartment to get a trash cart from Richard's Disposal, since no one had been in my apartment since Katrina and there was no cart.

I called the week before April 15th (my move in date) and placed the request.

A few days later a cart was dropped off with bright yellow and orange spray paint all over it and spray foam insulation in the bottom of the can. I called back on April 23rd wanting to request a new cart because this one was unsightly to say the least and I have to keep the cart right next to my front door. The customer service rep put in the cart request on April 23rd.

I waited a week, no cart. I called and I was told it would be brought out the next day. Again, no cart. I waited another week and called again, still no cart. I called every week for a month and was lied to on several occasions.

It's now been 5 weeks and still no new cart. I just got off the phone with the customer service rep and she said "I see where the request has been made, but not yet completed. They just haven't gotten around to it." I politely asked if she knew about how long this usually takes and she couldn't give me an answer.

This company is ridiculous! They do NOT care about their customers what-so-ever. It's evident that they have no desire to help their customers.

If you can use a different disposal service do so!
