great space, good food. after driving by it many times, my girlfriend & i stopped in to pick up a menu. we were immediately taken w/ the simple, classic look of its interior, so we sat at the bar for a glass of wine. then we had an appetizer. then another.. then we shared an entree, and the desserts were so appealing we couldnt pick and had two -- coconut sorbet, molten chocolate cake w/ raspberry & cream.. both homemade and both out of this world delcious.

the owner was very friendly and i never had to ask for a thing. the menu was also impressive, so im looking forward to going back to try other items.

as for drawbacks, the appz while tasty are on the petite side for their $7-9 price. but the service made up for this.

Delightful! Great food! Fun atmosphere! Friendly people!. Meauxbar was a great find for me who was in New Orleans for just a few days. I had onion soup and steak au poivre with frites - very tasty. The service was great and my water glass was refilled countless times The vibe was fun, urban and sophisticated. Strongly recommended!
