In Short – Generations of New Orleanians have fond memories of this neighborhood barroom and po'boy joint. With live music and a welcoming bar with TVs, Parkway is more than a simple sandwich spot. Patrons enjoy fried seafood and roast beef po'boys, served at the front bar or outdoor tables.

Best Poboys in New Orleans!!

by cjnola at Citysearch

THIS IS A REVIEW FROM A NEW ORLEANIAN: Locals love it!! Best Poboys in New Orleans (authentic poboys are ONLY in New Orleans). Great taste, value, friendly, etc. Cute "down to earth" typical New Orleans neighborhood atmosphere.

Make sure to get your poboy "dressed" (unfamiliar with the term "dressed" - lettuce, tomato, mayo & pickle slices).

  • Pros: Authentic New Orleans Poboy
  • Cons: Not really a con - So popular, sometimes crowded, but that makes it more fun!

Pretty much the best po'boys ever

by justgorgeous at Citysearch

Man I love this place. Their po'boys are perfect - crunch bread, overstuffed, deliciously dressed. Don't go in nice clothes because you will get messy! The perfect compliment to your sandwich is an icy cold bottled Barq's - you can pop the cap off with one of the bottle openers strategically placed on the walls of the restaurant. The fries are excellent, or grab a bag of Zapp's chips. Complete your meal with a steaming serving of sweet, sticky bread pudding. Does a meal really get any better?

  • Pros: Great food
  • Cons: Closes at 8, closed on Tuesdays
