The Delachaise. Always travel there on business and stay next door at Hampton Inn. As a single girl, I feel safe there. Great owner pays attention to me dining/drinking wine alone. He has great suggestions and the place is quaint. Supposedly the building has been everything from a dress shop to a house of ill-repute. Love it!…
Best Place for a first date.
Long story short, I met a very pretty girl at The Border's clearance sale and took her to the Delachaise for lunch a few sundays ago. The food was excellent and the Chef knew so much about cheese!
The bartenders were a little to rude to me about when the sun started setting but that somehow broke the ice.
Something about this part of Uptown is becoming very special...

Great prices, great food, love the new Patio!. Been going there for 4-5 years. The food has always much better than bar food but it has gotten much better in the last year & we think it now has some of the best food in the city. The addition of a patio has meant that we go pretty once or twice a week. It's become our go to neighborhood joint & we take everyone there that's in town visiting. Highly recommend.…
Love, Love, Love!. Favorite place to go... friends are probably tired of me wanting to go there & only there. Great patio right on St. Charles Ave. We like to grab a bottle of wine at the bar & take it outside. Food is really good, especially the Pate, Beef Bruchetta, frog legs are the best i've ever had, the cuban pork dish is one of my favorite things to eat in the city. Have to order at the bar, chef brings your food. Downside it can get busy later friday nights so go early unless you're looking for a crowd.…

Great music, something for everyone. If you want an unusual selection of wines & or alcohol this is the place to go.
Can you say cheese! 30+ cheese options. The best fries fried in duck fat no less! They serve food late & night & most of the dishes are small plates you can share --- perfect bar fare but not bar like food (think poached oysters over grilled bread, crawfish boil salad, filet of beef bites over crustinis).
Go early for relaxed wine & pre dinner snack, go after 9pm for a hopping place to drink & socialize, go late night at 11 or 12 for a late night snack or dinner. I think they serve until 1am.…
