Only good if you want to sleep in a club!. We love lofts, love small hotels, thought this would be perfect. Wrong! Oh, it's cute, and despite being fooled by the pictures of the great tubs and then being told it would be a $70/night upgrade, we were still pretty happy. Then there was the butt print in out chair. Then the hair on our white bed. OK, hey, we are layed back, it's cool. Suffering from a little travel headache, decided to take a nap. Was able to ignore slight musical thumping. Complained on our way out and the nice girl at the desk expressed surprise, and told us she would handle it. Later in the night we made the same complaint and were again told that they would handle it. Fast forward to 2:30 in the morning when the windows in our room were rattling from the club downstairs. Called the front desk, no answer. Nice. We complain in the morning to a third girl who says, oh yeah, well there is a club down here, sorry. Why didn't the other two girls tell us it would be that way?! Who for the love of God stays here more than one night?! About the only good thing I can say is that they moved us to their other hotel (International House) and it was great. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP!
Understated chic and high design rule at this well-concealed luxury boutique hotel in the Central Business District..
In Short
The same folks behind CBD's International House deliver an uber-stylish take on the "high-concept loft" format. Here, that translates into impossibly refined 700-square-foot lofts decked out with modernist-minimal decor, polished concrete floors and garden terraces for penthouse dwellers. The hotel's small size (16 lofts, two penthouses) befits the boutique prices, but this elegant space also sports wireless internet and DVD surround-sound audio for work and relaxation.
A Perfect 10.
700 square foot rooms, DVD/CD, TV, down comforters, dual showerheads, all modern amenities. Very "Soho" styled lofts.
The best part was the Customer Service. Ask for Peter, he'll set you up with roses, massages, the rose package all equating to a hell of a romantic weekend. Then stop by the bar and ask Maria for a Mojitto. Best Mojitto in the US.
Time of your life, at least it was for us.
very nice, tech industrial loft!.
This place rocks! People were great, very large high ceilings, concrete industrial style floors, walk in kholer dual head showers, modern sony tv/dvd.
perfect! about 4 blocks from the entrance to burbon street in a nice business/hotel type area.
