Editorial Review for Hotel Le Cirque – by Pableaux Johnson
In Short
Somewhere between ultra-modern and art deco, this chic space takes its curving lines from historic Lee Circle and its architectural cues (neutral stone lounge, sunken seating areas) from a minimalist, artsy sense of design. The 137-room property is within walking distance of the Contemporary Art Center and the D-Day Museum; the streetcar line provides easy access to the French Qurter and Uptown. Notable amenities include Turkish cotton bathrobes and broadband internet access.

Delightful new hotel in the best neighborhood in New Orleans, the Warehouse District. The building is edgy urban chic, and the bistro of the same name in the lobby is the best new restaurant in the city. Located next to both the Ogden Museum of Southern Art and the exceptional D-Day Museum. It's a short stroll to the hundreds of fashionable art galleries, shops, restaurants, bars, hotspots and beautiful people of the Warehouse District. Walking distance to the Quarter, convention center, casino, CBD, and Lower Garden District, plus the St. Charles Avenue Street Car stops right in front of the hotel, so you can get anywhere you'd want to go in New Orleans without ever getting in a car.

I decided to stay here because of the airline miles promotion that was running. Although the decor is interesting and modern, that is where the value ends. The rooms are small, and the hotel is well worn. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get the mandatory valet service to show up in less than 15 minutes, and the front desk couldn't care less. My cleaning service decided I didn't need any towels one night, and the next it was toilet paper. AC unit in the ceiling leaked a puddle on the floor the entire stay. NOISY AREA! I wanted to like this hotel and that is why I stayed more than one night, but ended up at the Crown Plaza for the rest of the week for the same price. Very disappointing and not in a very convenient area. Really too bad.
Pros: Decor, Ehhhhh...
Cons: NOISY, customer service, motel 6 quality
