Go here directly from the airport.. Ended up darkening the doorway of this joint at about 1030 with a buddy on a Friday night last spring. actually walked past it if you dont know what your looking for you'll miss it. After being served by what I can only describe as the "NASCAR Pit Crew of Bartenders" I had to collect my eyelashes off the bar when I took my first drink. Then it happened,.. I was directed up stairs where they were playing B-Side 45's of old rockabilly records, Very Cool! Closed the place, bartenders were awesome, the crowd is great, didn't try the food but if its as good as the atmosphere, music and drinks then go there from the airport when you land.

Best Kept Secret. This place is the best kept secret in New Orleans! It was suggested by a local waiter in another restaurant to go there and try the food. It is totally out of the way of any main tourist area, so be prepared to take a cab. Looks can be deceiving - we initially thought we might be in the wrong place because it looks like a typical neighborhood bar...and it is. However, the chef there prepares some of the best damn food we have ever eaten!! There is a "Trust Me" dish on the menu and it is whatever the chef feels like preparing. The night we went, we got an experimental vegetable dish that was so good I can't even describe it. The patatas bravas were the best I have had. We got lamb medallions that had me chewing on the bone. If we had know how good this place is at the beginning of our trip, we probably would have gone back until we had tried every plate on the menu. Amazing!!!

tapas and pool or late night dancing. fun place to go late-night on saturdays for soul sister. other nights - tapas are great, nice wine selection, pool table, good music.
