Inconsistent. I've had really good steak and ribs there. However, I've also had really bad steak and ribs there. I've eaten there quite a few times. There was almost always a decent wait for a table. I've had great bread rolls there and I've also had not so good bread rolls there. The bartenders always provide good service. I enjoy sitting at the bar and eating. It's normally easier to get a seat at the bar too. They have a great selection of margaritas. It's a shame they are so inconsistent though.
Texas--themed barbecue chain provides carnivores with a family-friendly spot for a hand-cut steak or rack of tender ribs..
In Short
With dozens of locations spread across most of the country, this faux-roadhouse chain has become a dependable spot for families in search of a casual spot for affordable steaks and down-home comfort fare. The playful menu is dotted with kid-friendly titles (chicken "critters," "road kill" chopped sirloin) and options (add caramel and marshmallow to a baked sweet potato for a dollar). In-house hand-cut steaks come in a plethora of cuts and sizes.
Use call ahead seating. This place was really good the one time I went. We called ahead about 45 minutes for call ahead seating and when we arived there were people well out the door. Thanks to call ahead seating we were seated in 5 minutes and once our food was ordered we had it in less than 30 minutes. The steak is super tender and cooked to perfection. The rattlesnake bites are spicy, but if you are ok with that you will LOVE there. The bread is really good, but I don't care for cinnamon so I skipped the special cinnamon butter. The sides are kind of small. Try the ranch dip, it's out of this world.

TEXAS ROADHOUSE. If they'd open for lunch instead of dinner each night this place wouldn't be such a pain! The food is pretty good and the waiters are hot but it's always a long wait to get there. Not the best place to eat but it'll do when you're starving.
Nice place to bring your family. Really good food, ice cold beer in frozen mugs, along with above average service, and a family atmosphere make this usually packed restaurant a real winner. And the tender ribs make it one of my wifes personal favorites, as well. But during dinner hours either make reservations or be prepared for a fifteen to twenty minute wait. On holidays the wait can be even longer.
