Food, beverage and atmosphere are good, but watch your wine.
I shared dinner with several friends, and the food, beverages and atmosphere were all fine. The service was good, but our wine bottle was not kept on or by the table, and removed partially full. When I asked the waiter about it, he said we finished it, but after dinner, several friends noticed the same thing. I would go back, but DEMAND that the wine be kept at the table.

Not that great.
I've eaten at the Marigny Brasserie three times. All three times it was just mediocre. I went back only because they either changed the menu or changed the chef. So I thought I would give it another shot. It was never that great. What I did like about it was that it's a nice restaurant with a casual atmosphere and they have excellent cocktails. Now, the menu has changed once more. So I thought I'd go back, but there's nothing on the menu I want. It's a huge menu, which I think is an automatic downgrade. I no longer feel like it's a "nice" restaurant just by looking at the menu. It's seafood platters, poboys, and a big selection of random pasta. If I want a seafood platter or a poboy, I can go anywhere in New Orleans and get that. They don't even try to make it gourmet. And if I want pasta, I'll go to Irene's or Adolfo's. I won't be returning for a fourth visit. Not interested.

Best Mojito Hands Down Ever!.
I haven't eaten there yet but I've spent time at the bar. Their drink list is amazing (except for the cucumber cosmopolitan) I've tried a Guava Caiprinha, amazing! Strawberry Mojitos, amazing! They even do hot drinks! Awesome!

One of the Best.
Now that Scott Varnedoe is back manning the kitchen, this restaurant is a must! For me, it ranks right up there with the best in town. Go in and see for yourself.
