Hole in the walls are the best!!!!!. Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is a diamond in the rough. Try the greek omelette for breakfas, incredible!!!!!!

Best Cheap Breakfast Spot in New Orleans. Great small spot for quick cheap breakfast, eggs, hashbrowns, toast, pita omelletes, pancakes, etc. It is not an IHOP or Denny's spot with wait staff. You place your order at counter and they call your # out when ready. No lines, no waiting, no crowds. Right on the corner of Canal and Caronlet St. Best spot to go for quick bite. Dixie Gyro who knew. We found this spot, due to a worker at our hotel told us about it. We ,et our group there daily. Hope you enjoy it, we all did.

I love this place for breakfast. Yes, they have Greek food, and from what I've heard, it's great. But my wife and I go to Dixie Gyro for the tasty, inexpensive, uncrowded breakfasts! Eggs, biscuits, grits, a side of meat and great coffee for two for about $12 or so (I'm doing this from memory, so forgive me if I'm off a buck or two.) Never a crowd, always a smile. Remember to say "Hi!" to Fontana if she's working the register. She's the owner.
