Delicious and great service!. The oysters and shrimp creole were amazing. So was the dessert. The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. Not too expensive either. A+++++

LOVE IT HERE!!!. Every time we visit New Orleans I cannot wait to eat at Bourbon house!! I love this place. Definitely sit at the Oyster Bar and order the Devil Stuffed Crab appetizer and the house salad!!! The guys at the Oyster bar will keep you entertained!! Yeah the service is a little slow but this place isn't chili's. You don't come here to eat and run. Get a grip! It's the big easy!!!

For a great experience, eat at the bar. I visited the Bourbon House with shaky expectations; I feared the quality would be compromised as it was situated directly on Bourbon Street, but my qualms were soon eased. Stepping into the restaurant from Bourbon Street was like stepping into another world. The lighting was delicately warm and accented by chic decorations. I sat at the bar and was attended to with the best service I have ever had, especially at a busy bar. The bartender (his name was Travis) knew exactly what to suggest for food and drinks. The crab claws were delightfully immersed in garlic butter, and the seafood gumbo was heavenly with a rich roux and generous amounts of shrimp, oysters, and crab. I had a phenomenal experience with overwhelmingly remarkable service and incredible food. I would recommend to anyone.

rude, rude, rude..... I visited NO last week. It looked nice and clean from outside, so my group would like to try there. I had one of the worst services here.

We ordered a dozen of oyster, and our server confirmed it twice. However, our server brought half of dozen and told us we ordered half of dozen. The way of he talked to us very rude.

Foods were okay. Gumbo was salty. Later, we asked for separate checks, since it was a business trip. They don't do separate checks, whereas other restaurants, even small ones do. Our server was talking to us very rude again with facial expression. I was very disappointed as I expected nice service. It looked like very nice restaurant, but nobody would expect such a terrible service. I would never go there again, nor recommend it.

Seafood classics and prime people-watching tailored to the Bourbon-bound tourist set.. In Short
With high ceilings, muted amber lighting and wrought-iron accents, the split-level dining room presents a stylized version of the French Quarter. The expansive main room and front bar feature huge picture windows for people-watching. The menu features New Orleans seafood classics, updated New American standards and straightforward grilled items. Seafood fans will have a field day with the huge fried seafood platter or an iced brasserie-style "plateaux" of raw oysters, seafood salads and shrimp.

Classy place and nice to visit. My husband and I took my mother, who was visiting NOLA, and we're glad we did. The service after the lunch rush was great. Her dish was wonderful. Ours werent' so great. The servings weren't big at all, but we were happy to experience such an upscale place. However, park somewhere cheap because you'll end up paying a lot for a meal and almost as much in parking if you're in a 10-block vicinity.

A nice surprise. My wedding was in NOLA in April... and after listing 20+ suggested places for my guests to dine, someone else suggested Bourbon House. I was cautious.... but we went with a group of about 12. Only waited for 20 minutes while we got drinks at the bar.

We though the prices were reasonable (I don't know how they rate this $$$$, I'd rate it $$) and the service was way beyond the price range... the service was wonderful. Dinner was fabulous and the service even better.

My then fiance and I went back the next day for lunch and loved it again!!! He had the debris eggs benedict (don't remember the real name)...

LOVED this place and will go back!!!

How rude!. I recently ate at this place on a business trip to New Orleans. We arrived with a party of 8, 10 minutes late, to find our reservation had been given to someone else. After much attitude from the hostess (including at first telling us that she could only seat 6 to a table and we would have to split up), we were seated. While waiting for a table, I ordered a glass of cabernet from the bar, which was served chilled. I had a bacon/onion tart as an appetizer that was gluey with flour and nearly inedible. My entree was a "barbeque shrimp" with good, fresh shrimp but very uninspiring sauce.

This is definitely not a place to go with a group, especially if you are trying to impress the clients.
