Used to be great . . .. I'm not surprised that someone gave Bacchanal five stars in 2009 - it was worthy of it back then, but now, not so much. Today their wine is wildly overpriced, and to make matters worse, they charge a $3 corkage fee (yes, even when you purchase the wine from them - if you bring your own wine, it's a $15 fee). This is particularly funny when you buy a screw top bottle of wine at an outrageous price and are still charged the "corkage fee." The outdoor food was incredible at first, gourmet dishes served casually that were definitely worth the price. That's declined as well . . . in fact, last time I went I was literally served pickled garnish leaves in place of an asparagus dish I ordered (not even edible, and I know a bit about food, worked in the industry for 12 years). Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I asked if I had the right dish and was told, "It's all green, you must not be able to find the asparagus," to add insult to injury (there were indeed two, small halves of asparagus when I searched further). In short, it was a great place for locals who know the value of good food and wine, and were treated as such . . . now, sadly, it's gone to the "hipper" crowd moving into town and high-priced tourists. Shame, since the music and the atmosphere are still phenomenal . . .…
