OH so GOOD. The food here is fantastic and the servers really make it charming. They have about 60 wines by the glass and about 400 by the bottle. I strongly recommend the beacon wrapped scallops and the duck special if they are running it. I had a wonderful bartender who was so personable and sweet. She walked us through the whole thing and basically told us what to order. Everything she said was perfect down to the last bite. The tables are tiny so try sitting at the bar. If the peitite bartender girl is there (dark hair and eyes) have her pick out your meal. :)
Just don't have it right..
First of all - bad chairs for dining - tiny bistro-like chairs - so you are perched instead of comfortably sitting throughout your meal.
Felt sorry for the chefs. They are stuck in this tiny, tiny room. There were very few customers on a Friday night. You could see them standing the this room -- looking out the tiny window - waiting for customers.
My husband ordered his steak med rare. It came partially well done, partially medium and partially raw - all in one steak. Hard to do - even at home. Sent it back - came back again and it was partially raw. My filet was recommended strongly as superb by the waitress - sauced with Stilton blue cheese. But, when it came - the sauce was sweetish with a little bowl of cheese crumbles on the side. I complained but they said I just didn't know what Stilton was. All I know is that it as off-putting to have something sweet on my filet. Sent it back - and it came back a liitle bit better. Dish served with unimaginitive potato wedges - with no seasoning.
Worst part - when I complained - the waitress made the biggest mistake - She said "I am surprised you don't like it - every other diner loved it." Like that is supposed to make you happy.
Wanted a wine flight which they brag about. But the bartender said he didn't have any "wine flight glasses" although only one other table was getting flights.
Would not go back.
