ATTITUDE ATTITUDE!!. I met with Mr. Lala a while back to discuss planning my wedding. I am a successful professional and don't have alot of extra time to plan exactly what I want. After meeting with Mr. Lala I realized that he likes to plan an event how he wants with what he wants and who he wants. I always thought the person paying was the customer and should receive good service especially for the price. If you want to give him your money and let him do whatever HE WANTS then its OK but don't interject your ideas because he will shoot them down.

I ended up doing everything myself on the weekends and after hours and got what I wanted. I also saved the money I would have spent on Mr. Lala and without the hassel of arguing to what I wanted to have and pay. I wonder if he gets kickbacks from his vendor friends since he wanted to use who he wanted.

I would not trust such a person with spending thousands of my hard earned money. Maybe he's getting older and cranky. Don't Do It!!

I would not recommend him. I found Anthony to be very condescending & pushy. My purpose in hiring a wedding consultant was to help me fulfill expectations that I would like to happen on my wedding day & without stress. Instead, I found myself having to justify & talk him into allowing MY wedding to happen MY way. For instance, we argued about the colors of my wedding cake(he thought anything other than plain white, was tacky), the cake topper, the style & script of my invitations, my budget, etc. I found myself thinking it would have been easier to do this on my own, and with less argueing. I even began to dread our meetings together.

He also wants you to deal with the vendors he's most comfortable with (venue, florist, transportation), regardless of cost. If you choose to go with other vendors, he's not very helpful.

To be fair, he did come through for us on the actual wedding day. The wedding & reception was beautiful & everything went smoothly. Also, he did a good job of keeping us on track to order flowers, invitations, etc.

Rude to Bridal Party!. Mr. Lala was the wedding consultant for my brother's wedding this month. I was part of the bridal party and he was very condescending to all of the members of the bridal party.At the end of the night, my sister overheard him telling one of the hotel employees to watch the bride's bouquet and make sure the bridesmaids don't get it. If he was paying any attention to me and had any respect for me, he would have known that I was just asking where my bouquet was. Additionally, he told my mother (the mother of the Groom) that my brother could not escort her into the wedding because the bride didn't want to be seen prior to the wedding. However, at the time of the wedding, the bride was not even in the room! He should have known that it would be acceptable given his "experience." He also scolded the maid of honor for taking off her shoes during the reception. I would highly recommend working with a nicer person as your wedding consultant. Your family and bridal party will thank you for it.

Made Our Wedding Perfect. Anthony worked with us long distance and locally to plan and execute the perfect wedding! despite the fact that the bride and groom were adamant that the wedding ceremony be at Jackson Square, Mother Nature decided otherwise - no problem, Anthony had both that site and hotel room ready for ceremony and everything was PERFECT!!! Hope we have the occasion to use Anthony again - whether for personal event or corporate - he's the best and we highly recommend him!!!!

Exellent planning. Anthony is an expert at what he does. We were very impressed with his knowledge of the city and ability to get us what we wanted. I would highly recommend Anthony as a wedding planner.

Planner Par Excellence. Anthony Lala planned a surprise 69th Birthday Party with attention to detail that was amazing. The cake was designed to highlight the achievements of the honoree; the decorations were perfect to the last detail, and the guest list had been elicited from the honoree through general conversation without her knowledge.

All in all a commoration and party about which people are still talking and all are wanting his help for future functions.

Incredible 50th Wedding Anniversary. My family hired Anthony to arrange a 50th Wedding Anniversary for my parents and Anthony done an incredible job. All the family members live out of town and Anthony coordinated every single detail to the "T" and the event was beyond everyone's expectations. I would highly recommend Anthony to anyone planning a "Once in a Lifetime Event". Anthony's resources he uses and the best of class in the New Orleans area....

I've referred to him as "Your Other Mother" for over 20 yrs.. Weddings in the New Orleans Area are very different from those elsewhere. Anthony is a New Orleans Boy whose knowledge of etiquette and "just the way things are done 'Down Here'" is unsurpassed. He has the knowledge and experience to tell you if something just won't work and the finesse to explain why. His appearance at weddings is absolutely perfect and goes along with the perfect job he performs. If Anthony is allowed to work with you from the very beginning of your wedding planning and his suggestions are used, you will be blessed with his professional connections and creativity.

Long work history together.. I have worked with Anthony as a transportation vendor for almost 20 years. I find him to be very detail oriented and meticulous. He makes my job much easier and his transportation always operates like clockwork.

best ever. Anthony Lala is devoted to his profession. He not only provides the best service he genuinely cares. If it anything isn't up to his standards he will stand up for you and make it right. What I love most about Anthony he is so easy to reach and always available even for a little bridal venting. Whenever asked, "do you know anyone who plans weddings" I refer Anthony before the question is asked. Thank you Anthony for everything!!!!!!!
