Tips for The Corner Oyster Bar & Grill

We stopped in to the Corner Oyster Bar during our stay in New Orleans. We loved the authentic creole food! The service was friendly and the atmosphere enjoyable. We recommend it!

Charbroiled Oysters Rock, Sat at the Bar and the Cooks were a lot of fun.

This was the first place we visited upon arriving in new Orleans. If you want a good New Orleans experience this is the place for you. We got a half dozen of the char grilled oysters, and it turns out we could have eaten a dozen each. They were that good! The gumbo was great, and my crawfish po boy was exactly what I was looking for; French bread, fried crawfish tails, lettuce tomato, pickle, and a special mayo. We also ordered drinks and they were the best . I would recommend acme to anyone headed to New Orleans

We ate here a couple of times during our stay in New Orleans and the food is truly excellent. Portions are generous to say the least and the waitress service is great. A good place to take in a football game and enjoy good food. Will definitely be back when next in the crescent city!

Worst Customer Service. Yesterday, I sat at the bar at Corner Oyster and waited ten minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. When she did, I requested a food menu and received a blue moon draft instead. When I corrected her she got snippy and slammed the beer in the garbage which splashed on my legs. Ten minutes later, I had someone take my order. I ordered an omelette and after thirty minutes I wondered where it was. I asked the bartender if she could check and she said it would be right out. Well, fifty-five minutes after ordering my food, still no omelette. I asked the bartender and was told my food will be out when it is ready. I told her that I know it doesn't take an hour to cook an omelette and that two tables that ordered after me was already eating. She argued with me about that and told me if I don't like it I could go elsewhere. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager and she said the manager was her husband and he won't give a damn. Im sure he doesn't know his inconsiderate wife costs his business money. So, I left and they tried to charge me foe a milk that I didn't even drink. Easily, the worst customer service I ever experienced.

GREAT GUMBO! and Shrimp!. We ate there twice on our stay in New Orleans, The New Orleans Sampler is the way to go! We also ordered Broiled Shrimp, Delish! Just the right amount of spice and kick! We spent two days walking around the French quarter sampling New Orleans many good dishes.... but nothing was quite as tasty as The Corner.

Our last night in the City instead of trying another restaurant for fear of disappointment we opted to have a GREAT meal.

As soon as we sat down our server recognized us! She was glad to see us back. Dominique serves and sees a lot of tourists for her to remember us among a sea of faces... That meant a lot! She was prompt friendly and one of the friendliest people we met during our stay in NOLA.

Would I recommend a friend?......YES!

WORST food EVER. The worst restaurant experience I have EVER had. The food was absolutely horrible. The service was just as bad. We sat there and was ignored for ten minutes before anyone even came to our table. And there was one other table there. The pizza is worse than grocery store frozen food. I would rather eat vomit than ever walk into this place again. I even said something to the manager and they just walked away.

Love the Bloody Mary. My fella and I ate here the other day and did not know what to expect in a touristy part of town. The bloody mary was out of this world. I ordered the gumbo (awesome) he ordered the crawfish chicken(sooo good). The server Jes was very friendly and fast. The location is really good, right on Jackson Square, and the place is very big and open, so even though it was hot , it was not stuffy. I will be going back. With Saints season coming, this place will have my repeat business they have like 14 t.vs.
