Great food, reasonable prices, friendly service. We walked 2.5 miles from our hotel in the French Quarter for a tour of the garden district and quite enjoyed the food and service provided by this local establishment. Staff was friendly, quick and offered suggestions for other things to do in the area that we hadn't heard before.

Would consider walking back just for the food/service.

I've had much better frozen pizza. To say this pizza was lacking flavor would be a gigantic understatement. I had to actually put salt on a pizza for the first time in my life to to make it somewhat flavorful!

I ordered the BBQ Chicken while my friend ordered a Italian sausage and cheese. Both came out with only a smidgen of sauce on them . The cheese seemed to be cheapest mozzarella possible, while the sauce was bland and unevenly spread. Upon adding Parmesan, red pepper, salt, and pepper, it was somewhat bearable. The only redeeming quality was that the crust was crispy.

If you're in the mood for BBQ Chicken pizza, go to Whole Foods on Magazine and buy the frozen one for half the price.

FYI, I've lived in NYC for four years and had pizza across the country. Digiornos is better than this place.

Meh...not so good.... I love local businesses and will freely and generously support the worthy ones, but this restaurant, in my opinion, falls a little short. It has potential, but for some reason misses the mark. The atmosphere is more like a seedy bar than a restaurant, the pizza tastes like the dough is from raw canned biscuits, and even though the restaurant was nowhere near busy when my party ate there, service was pretty slow and unhelpful.

Like I said, I love local places and I want to see this one do better. I really do. It just needs some work.

Magazine Streets Best Kept Secret. It's easy to miss Rocky's if you aren't looking for it. I myself just happened to stumble upon it when I was shopping on Magazine Street, and I must say, I am so glad that I did. Their pizza is great. It's a thin, crispy crust overloaded with toppings all the way out to the edge. I ordered the Wild Tchoupitoulas and I would recommend it to any pizza lover. Jalepenos, pepperoni, sausage, red peppers....mmm mmm!!! I added feta cheese to mine and it was awesome.

Their service is pretty good too. I was impressed with how well our waiter served us considering he was the only waiter for the whole place. He was prompt, friendly, and brought out a ball of pizza dough for my little one to play with.

The decor is very old-timey pizzeria with lots of vintage advertisments on the walls and decorative "gingerbread" like on the houses in New Orleans hanging from the ceiling.

All in all, I highly recommend Rocky's to anyone who loves pizza and just wants a nice relaxing experience in a cozy spot. They cater to kids and have a full bar for the grown ups as well.

Decent pizza, friendly service. I ate at Rocky's Pizza with a group of 10 high school students and two other adults from Oregon. We found the service to be friendly and reasonably fast, though the pizza's seemed a bit overpriced for the quality. It's a great location, however, and they seated us promptly, though not together. The servers did great with students. Note: there was no AC during our visit.

Good Stuff. I don't know what the past two reviewers were talking about, but Rocky's is fantastic. Their Jazzfest salad is awesome! Crawfish, greens, hearts of palm .... mmmmm.

The White Tchopitoulas is really good, I could go for one about now! And the wheat crust is good. I was actualy surprised to see the bad review about the wheat crust! My favorite pizza was a white sauce on wheat crust with sausage and pepperoni. If you want a good dessert, try the brownie and ice cream! A HOT Fudge brownie, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! Oh yeah, it's been a while since I had a brownie and ice cream from there! Keep up the good work Rocky's, I miss you guys!

the wheat crust is not too good. went and had 1/2 "magazine st" and 1/2 "cajun crawfish". the toppings were good but the wheat crust was AWFUL. really grainy and the flavor overpowered the toppings - so all i tasted was whole grain. i don't know how the white crust is.

Diabolical! The worst pizza and service ever.. OK, so I've eaten a lot of pizza in my time, after all I lived in Brooklyn for 3 years! BUT this is the worst pizza experience ever.

Firstly, lets start with the pizza. 1. The dough was overworked; my wife is a pastry chef and was appalled by the quality. 2. The sauce was OK but not even close to good and extended to more than an inch away from the crust edge. 3. As we only ordered a sliced tomato and cheese pizza (best way to judge a pizza when trying out for the first time) I'll comment on how they screwed that up. The tomatoes were just chunked and thrown into the middle of the misshapen dough. Result = the crappiest pizza I have ever, ever had, and I include American Airlines breakfast pizza that they serve on transatlantic flights.

Now onto the service.

We phoned our order through at 7:15 and were told there would be a 30 minute wait - so I turned up at 7:45, only to find out that they had lost my order. OK nothing new here mistakes happen everywhere. So I settle down with a free beer (only thing they got right) and waited, and waited, and waited. My order took another 45 minutes to prepare. During this time I watched the three girls behind the counter disintegrate in front of my very eyes. The analogy "up the proverbial creek without a paddle" comes to mind but does not due justice the chaos I witnessed while sat at the bar!

I am not exaggerating when I say that I only witnessed one pizza go out correctly during those 45 minutes. Every single table was complaining. I also witnessed one pick-up order get filled with a cold pizza that had been sat on the counter for 20 minutes (not even in a box) before being added to 3 fresh pizzas that the poor students had to wait for another 30 minutes for.

Finally, and I am cutting this short, my order arrives and it's a small even though I paid for a large. Response = sorry +$5! My advice = avoid!

I also have photo's of the pizza if you don't believe how bad it was.

Uptown pizzeria serves pie with a creative, Creole flair.. The Scene
The interior is wood, including the floor, tables, booths, bar, shutters on the walls and ornate corner cornices hanging from the ceiling. The kitchen is open, and a couple of poker machines hang out at the back. A young bunch take care of things here. Expect friendly and fast service and don't be afraid to create your own pizza with their suggestions.

The Food
Not your regular cheese and pepperoni parlor, creations are original and locally inspired on a thin white or wheat crust. Try the mojo with a tangy red sauce heaped with fresh sauteed spinach, artichoke hearts and feta cheese. Other originals include the muffaletta pizza, seafood abundanza with Cajun spices in sauteed shrimp, crawfish and onions, and the wild Tchoupitoulas with pepperoni, Italian sausage, red peppers and jalapenos. The menu also includes focaccia sandwiches, salads and pastas.

Catastrophe in a pizza pan. Absolutely catastrophic pizza. While I have a great appreciation for pizza with a crisp crust, the pizza here is bordering on DRY. I held a slice from a large pizza up by the edge, and it did not so much as bend even a slight bit. Grease a problem in your diet? This is the pizza for you. There was none... and forgive me for saying so, but isn't "greasy" an adjective that should be used when describing the best pizza?
