Best "Dive Bar" in NOLA. We were visiting New Orleans and while taking a tour of the Garden District we asked our tour guide for a recommendation for a bar that might be showing the Gold Cup Final (yes, we are soccer fans). She told us about Three Legged Dog, so we called and they said that they would turn the match on for us when we got there. It was super close to our hotel. It is a dive but that is part of the charm!! The bartender was awesome!!! The food was great bar food and the ribs were amazing!!!!!! True to their word, they turned on the match and didn't even mind when we got a little rowdy while cheering for the U.S.!! After the match was over and we moved along our wonderful bartender, Drew, even joined us when he finished his shift!!! I would highly recommend Three Legged Dog to anyone looking for good "bar food", a totally laid-back atmosphere and almost NO tourists!!!!! Oh, and you can't beat 2 for 1 drinks!!!!

great place. If you ever goto bourbon. Always stop in. 2 for one drinks at a reasonable price. Always clean and good bartenders. Kickstart your buzz cheap and in a good place. When you leave. Stop in for 24hour food thats actualy worth waiting for. Even if you want to just go out on a budget but want to do downtown its a great place. Usualy something good on tv or movies playing there so you can just hangout with friends and have fun.

2 for 1 drinks, guy TV & a laundromat to boot!. Made me feel a bit like I was back home in the dearly defunct Bar Of Soap in Dallas.

Layed back, small, dark, cheap drinks, do your laundry in the back, watch people nearly killing themselves on the tube and of course, the excellent chalk drawing of its namesake, x's for eyes and paws to the sky.

Far enough from Bourbon Proper to avoid most retards, close enough to get a good, cheap buzz before you head on to the Big chEasy.

(Can't say L A I D, apparently it's inappropriate to use the term rather than relaxed, lol)

I hope Three Legged Dog survived. I've loved 3LD since S.B XXXVI. Went for the largest TV in the Quarter, with Harrah's money for a game ticket. Stayed just for the company. That night, Budweiser gave $10,000 to the bar ($83 per patron). I was hooked.

Chapter 2: A friend had a three-legged dog, C.J. Took a photo, blew it up, framed it. Went to the next Bucs game in N.O. and donated it. They didn't have a picture of an unfortunate canine who liked to party, so we gave it to 'em.

Been back twice. Last time in May, we met a group of women on a graveyard tour. I escorted them to 3LD for drinks. Had them sign the photo. Such good times. When I choke up about seeing one of my favorite towns suffering, the 3LD is foremost in my thoughts (along with Coop's cajun fried chicken, but that's another story). God bless.

Got Beer??. What a great place to visit! I couldn't get over the look of the bar, brick floors, dark walls...and extremely nice bartenders. They seemed to know everyone that walked in the bar, and if they didn't you were treated like an old friend. They have tons of import beers, and some of the best toasted sourdough sandwiches I have tasted. They are open 24 hours, and have 2 happy hours...one from 2p-8p and again at 3a-8a. Why would you leave?
