Unacceptable Practices

I was scheduled by Dr. Mallik's staff for a 2:30 appointment. After waiting for an hour and a half I asked how long it might be to see the doctor. I found out that he was giving a speech over at the hospital. I was told that it would be 3 to 4 hours before I would see the doctor. This was after I was charged the office co-pay. I had to ask for a refund and it didn't post to my account for a week and a half. I was told by many patients while I was there that because there is a shortage of endocrinologists in the area, Dr. Mallik's accepted office wait can be up to 6 and a half hours. When I complained the staff was very rude to me. I do not understand why the doctor would make appointments when he knew he had a speechto deliver. He also has no regard for his patients or their lives. The wait times are very cruel and inhuman. How can he expect people to wait those long times without eating or drinking and take off whole days from work with the economy the way it is? He has no regard for anyone's time or discomfort.
