Very poor service. Very, very poor service!!!! If you are spending $ 1000.00 for lenses and frames you will get great service (THink margins). If they learn you are not going to spend that kind of money they do their best to make you wait, wait and WAIT and hopefully leave. You get moved to the rear of the cue as if your time is not valuable at all. I would find any other place to go find glasses besides this establishment. The manager did a very poor job of communicating with me. After waiting for a half hour she told me she was not going to be able to help me. Maybe she could have said that in the first place.
Thank you Uptown Eye Care!. I came in with broken frames and they put my lenses in another pair of frames until my glasses could be repaired! Thank you Up town Eye Care!

GREAT AND DIFFERENT FRAMES. I've always been a customer of their competitor, but a colleague suggested I go to uptown eyecare because they have alot of exclusive lines that my normal eye doctor's office don't carry and there was a consultant there he and his wife trust with picking out all their glasses. We were immediately greeted by the lady my colleague recommended us to see. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about glasses. We appreciated her giving us honest opinions about the styles. She was concerned with what the glasses looked like as well as if they worked with my blind prescription. But on the other side of the room the other staff member made us a little uncomfortable because he was very loud and we felt as if he wasn't professional while trying to catch a date with another customer. Nonetheless, I have found a new place to get great glasses that I've never seen anywhere else. I will definitely go back and recommend this place!
Excellent eyeglass buying experience. From the minute I walked through the door, I felt that I was the only person in the place, even though there were other customers present. The staff was so attentive, but not overbearing at all. They answered all the questions I had as a first time eyeglass purchaser and helped me through what could have been a frustrating experience in picking out a new pair of glasses from the huge selection of varied price frames. Even my eye exam was great - the doctor was very patient as I had him click back in forth between possible lenses as a decided which was clearer. I would (and have) recommended this place to all my friends who ask me about my cool new glasses!
poor customer service.
After 2 weeks, still waiting for glasses that would "arrive in less than 1 week." Placed multiple calls to inquire, and although the employees answer phone sweetly, they were 100% unhelpful in providing answers. There is absolutely no follow-through to ensure that the customer is satisfied, and the staff is seemingly incapable of calling back as promised.
Frames and accessories are well over-priced and despite their "refined" image, Uptown Eyecare uses an inefficient and inaccurate payment procedure. Staff uses palm calculator and scratch paper to figure in total cost of visit -- I had to correct the employee 3 times to get the correct price of an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
The optometrist is friendly and professional, but his staff needs a shake-up.
I am Laura Brown, owner of Uptown Eyecare and just read your review. I am so sorry that you had a difficult time getting your glasses. First typically glasses do come in about a week or less. Something must have happened and you should have been called immediately to let you know what happened. Even though we are extremely short handed we should have taken the time to return your phone call. And for that I am extremely sorry. The matter has been addressed and hopefully will never happen again.
We do have a computer program to give you accurate receipts and enter your order. We typically do that after the patient leaves, saving time so you don't have to wait. However I am considering other possibilities in order to resolve this problem. I would appreciate you calling me and I can apologize personally. I would like the chance to make it up to you.
Great place for glasses. I love this place. I went in as a person that had never worn glasses before and I was so happy with the woman that helped me. She was new at this particular business but was so very knowlegable about glasses. So it seems that they have done something about their office staff problems. She helped me find glasses that look great on me and she took the time to make sure that they fit me like they should. This place has the nicest frames out of any of the places that I went to, and I went to two other places before buying from here. I highly recommend his place to anybody that needs glasses. It is a beautiful store and the customer service is outstanding!
good selection of frames. Bad experience with the office staff but owner's wife returned my call and we were able to talk through things. This office carries a difficult to find frame that my husband prefers so we hope they'll be able to work through their office staff problems and become customer service oriented again.
Excellent Service and Selection. I have used Uptown Eye Care for 3 or 4 years now and I have always been very pleased with my service. They have been willing to ship contacts to me wherever I may be staying, and their staff has gone above and beyond to work with me. You truly get what you pay for at this office, excellent service and a superb selection.
great experience. I had a great experience. They have a broad selection of frames and sunglasses. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. And they have great prices for the quality you receive. I got glasses and contacts and could not have been happier. The doctor gave me the best exam that I have ever had. I would recommend Uptown Eyecare to everyone!!!
