Editorial Review for Disney's All-Star Sports Resort – by Gayot.com
The Scene
Giant whistles, football helmets, baseball bats, surfboards and other such props greet guests at this sports-themed resort. Over 1,900 rooms housed in 10 three-story buildings offer five individual sports-motif sections: football, baseball, basketball, tennis and surfing. Stairwells are designed to resemble three-story soda cups, while lifeguard shacks and tennis ball cans connect floors. Outside areas resemble stadium or court settings, the featured pool is in the shape of a baseball diamond and another features water sports.
The Details
Next door to Blizzard Beach and Animal Kingdom, the resort caters best to families with its simple, kid-oriented amenities, such as a kiddie pool, playground and an arcade. Adults can enjoy a poolside bar as well as inexpensive food, babysitting services, complimentary motor coach transportation to all Disney parks and transportation to non-Disney parks for a fee. Rooms are standard with no extras, room service is limited to pizza delivery and there is no concierge.

This hotel does not live up to the Disney name. I thought that even though it was a lower priced resort the Disney magic would have been spilled over the place. Not so. This place offers a small, bare bones room that reminds one of Best Western. There's only one overpriced food court with lousy food and a terrible selection. Your money will be better spent on a nicer hotel off Disney property.

we stayed this year and it seems disney had let the sport run down. to begin with, it is no more than a dressed up motel 6 at 3 times the price which seemed to be worth the sacrifice for the 1 hr early park entry in the past.
Pros: bus service
Cons: run down, terrible service
