Metairie >Lakeside Shopping Ctr
I Hate this Mac Store.
Not only is everything the other reviewers wrote true, but this Mac Store sucks even WORSE! I've used Mac for 6 years and have never been treated so horribly. It all started last September…
Actually it started last March when I dropped my MacBook Pro and dented the corner. Nothing was broken, just a few scratches and a dent but it worked perfectly… Fast forward 6 months. So last September when a few keys on my keyboard suddenly stopped working. I made a reservation at this Mac Store for 5:30 not knowing that they were NAZIS about punctuality.
Due to traffic I was 20 minutes late. Well, they they refused to see me! They said they could get me in no sooner than the next day. Of course, there was no one in the store except 4 or 5 "geniuses" standing around doing nothing. Whatever, I took the appointment.
Since I had class that day I had my boyfriend go down there. He called me from the Mac Store and says "they won't fix it" and explained to me that the "genius" said my warranty is void because of the old dent on the corner from me dropping it back in March. So now I'm fighting with a company that I was formerly prod to support and tell all my friends to buy. Screw you.
This place is a nightmare. just getting to this place is a nightmare. it's way the hell out in metairie on veterans where traffic is completely insane. you have to go under bridges and make u-turns just to get to the parking lot, where you are faced with your next impossible challenge- finding a spot to park. i could seriously write a book about how bad this place sucks, but i dont have the time. bye bye.
best mall in town. this is the best mall in the city given the fact that the place has some of the best shopping around town with great deals on differnt things the food court and resturants are the best around and have great service
Cool mall. One of the largest malls in the area, Lakeside features a food court with local menu choices such as crawfish. The shops themselves are cheery, and the place as a whole has a very positive vibe. Navigation is a times confusing but there's always something new to explore. I love coming here.
parking nightmare. I don't know why this is the hardest place to park. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, it's crowded.
Bastion of suburban chic..
Yuppies cruise for deck chairs in Restoration Hardware, tartaned private-school girls scour sale racks in J. Crew, wanna-be fashionistas haunt Nicole Miller and soccer moms abound--in other words, it feels, smells, looks and sounds like a suburban mall. The food court hosts mostly fast food oufits, but if you don't want to be served while standing, try P.F. Chang's, the wildly popular Chinese restaurant attached to the mall.
Anchored by mid-range department stores Dillard's and JCPenney, this 120-store mall is sweetened by higher-end boutiques, kiosks of handy products and big national chains like Gap, the Limited properties and Foot Locker. The aging complex has had to make some updates over the last several years, but plenty of urbanites still flee the city to shop at Lakeside, long the epicenter of Metairie's retail community.
