More than we could have imagined, was
our stay at The Avenue Inn on St Charles Ave in New Orleans . The Inn keepers Joe and Bebe are just wonderful made us feel at home , We actually had our Wedding at the B&B so our stay was extra special and Joe and Bebe helped with the arrangements and even stood as witnesses for us .They are very genuine people ,will help in any way from suggesting things for you to see & do, places to eat and help you to plan your time so that you can enjoy New Orleans as it has so much to offer . I know my now Husband and I will be returning both to New Orleans and the Avenue Inn.
Thank you again for all that you did we had such an amazing time.
This place is where you want to stay! Will add greatly to your enjoyment of New Orleans as Joe and Bebe are terrific hosts and will help you get the most out of your visit whether you are wondering what to see, what to eat, or how to get there. Rooms are great, location is perfect. Will call Avenue Inn first when returning to New Orleans
My husband and I got away for our much belated honeymoon (4 years) and anniversary. We had never been to New Orleans and couldn't have asked for a better location, B&B or hosts! Bebe and Joe were so informative and helpful with figuring out restaurants and places to go. Our room was really clean and comfortable and the breakfast even though it was a continental was more than expected and always delicious and fresh. Thanks for having us Bebe and Joe!
My husband and I who own and operate a
Bed & Breakfast had the great and glorious opportunity to stay a night at the Avenues B&B on Wednesday, January 23rd.
When we arrived we were greeted by Joe (one half of the dynamic duo ownership team who has lovingly cared for this grand home for 11 years). We were introduced to the B&B while luxuriating in the parlor and hearing the wonderful tale of ownership.
Afterward we were lead to our room on the second floor that was graciously appointed with both business and leisure travelers alike.
After our night out we came back to the Inn that was warm, welcoming and peaceful. After a wonderful night sleep, we went down to the dining room for a lovely continental breakfast and stimulating conversation with other fellow travelers from all over the country.
I could not more strongly recommend a New Orleans B&B in that area than the Avenues B&B. Keep up the great work Joe & Bebe (the other wonderful half of the partnership).
We visited the Avenue Inn Bed &
Breakfast the 2 nd week in October 2012 with our good friends the Kennedy's on their Anniversary. Joe & Bebe were great hosts and a wealth of knowledge. The Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar is 2 blocks away and has great meals or a little more casual is the New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Co. right next door and a great place for a nightcap or a meal. We caught the streetcar right outside the door on the Boulevard, great for sightseeing or getting to "The Quarter". Joe booked all our tours for us and we were picked up at the front door each time. I have never been one for tours but I am now convinced that it is the way to go and well worth the $$. We ended every tour by getting dropped off in the French Quarter or downtown. We then took the RTA back "home" at night. As far is our safety, we never felt threatened or unsafe at anytime. Common sense is the best guideline. The citizens of New Orleans are among the friendliest we have ever come across in our travels. Things not to miss;
- The French Quarter
- Plantation Tour
- City Tour
- Swamp Tour
- Lord Chaz Ghost Tour
- World War II Museum
- Blues, Jazz & Seafood Festivals
Thank you Joe & Bebe & New Orleans for a great vacation!!!
P.S. Back to the Gym. The FOOD is awesome.
The Avenue Inn made our recent trip to
New Orleans perfect!
We enjoyed a beautful, clean and quiet room overlooking the St. Charles Avenue streetcar line. The Innkeepers, Joe and Bebe, were friendly and helpful. They organized a great package for us that included one of the best dinners we have ever had, at the Upperline Restaurant. Avenue Inn is a beautiful place and gets our highest reccomendations!
This was our first time in New Orleans and we were lucky enough to stay two nights at the Avenue Inn B & B. We had a wonderful stay! Since we were moving to Texas with our car packed, finding a centrally located place to stay with parking was a must. Since the B & B is in a great location, right on the tram-line, we explored the city on foot. Upon arriving Joe and his wife welcomed us warmly with chocolate chip cookies. Our room was lovely and very comfortable: the extra glass partition on the windows helped block the traffic noise outside. The continental breakfast was terrific: I personally prefer the option of choosing a variety of things to eat for breakfast over a fixed menu. My husband and I highly recommend this B & B and look forward to staying here when we return to New Orleans.
Past reviews sold us on this B&B It
certainly lived up to its critics choice. Joe and Bebe go overboard on making your stay the best ever. Knowledge of eateries, tours, etc was so very helpful and they set them up as well!! I was grateful for the comp snack bar, water, energy bars, candy, anything that helps when you're riding the trolley to and from all the recommended places...which is just outside the front door..My husband is 6' 4" - they upgraded us to the King suite making sure our comfort came first
Hope to visit again
Our new home away from home. Amazingly Beautiful Place, Wonderfully warm and helpful people. I love the Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast. Joe and Bebe took really great care of us. Literally helped us plan our whole New Orleans experience as we had never been there before. The room was so beautiful with a BIG cozy bed. The location is perfect a lot of things to do. Wherever you cant walk the Saint Charles Avenue Streetcar can take you as the B&B is conveniently located on the streetcar line. The food was great and quite a large selection for a continental breakfast and this was the first place I ever stayed that offered me as many free snacks as I wanted through out the day. We really got so much more then we planed for and it was great. Staying at a hotel is just not the same anymore.
Great front porch. It was our first time to stay at at Bed & Breakfast, and Joe and Bebe welcomed us into their home with warm cookies and a tour. The rooms were beautiful and the bed very comfortable. They had a most delicious breakfast every morning and were so helpful with questions about the city and things to see. Sitting on the front porch with a morning cup of coffee was so relaxing. Thank you for making our visit so wonderful. We will be back.
