Perfect location, beautiful hotel.... The Bourbon Orleans is a beautiful historic hotel located at Bourbon & Orleans (go figure). This is the center of the French Quarter and a perfect "base of operations" when visiting the Cresent City.

The lobby is very elegant and gives you a sense of luxury. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is about 90-95% recovered from Katrina, to only issue being the elevator was out for about 20 minutes on one day. I was surprised how reasonable the rates were; $100/nt including all taxes. The Wyndham ByRequest club will sometimes get extra discounts, this stay we did not have to pay for parking (most every hotel in the French Quarter charges $20-$35 per night for this)!

Haunted Hotel. New Years Eve 2001

Visiting for the Sugar Bowl and New Years Celebration. Little did we know that our room would contribute to the entertainment! Unexplained noises and moving objects made our two nights there more enjoyable.
