The Scene
With newly renovated rooms available for rent, this Queen Anne-style house offers an ultra-private, restful retreat. The air of peacefulness stands in contrast to the reputation of the French Quarter, which is notoriously full of life. But this bed-and-breakfast is located on the Quarter's quiet end, where the clip-clopping of horse-drawn carriages is heard more often than the expected Bourbon Street revelry. Once you cross Esplanade Avenue, the Faubourg Marigny is a lovely residential neighborhood.

Hardwood floors, 12-foot ceilings with ceiling fans and antique or reproduction beds give each room Old-World character.
